The Brenner Corridor links Munich / Rosenheim (Germany) with Innsbruck (Austria) and Verona (Italy), and functions as a major north-south transalpine axis for transit and holiday traffic. The route comprises the A93 (South) in Germany, the A12 Inntal motorway and A13 Brenner motorway in Austria, and the A22 Autostrada del Brennero in Italy.

Traffic management
On the A8 (East) in Germany, dynamic signs with integrated traffic jam information have been in use since the first half of 2010 on the southbound approach to the Inntal A8/A93 motorway junction at Rosenheim. With these electronic signs it is possible to program and display a broad range of changeable traffic information, including warnings of traffic jams. This means that it is already possible to warn road users in Germany about traffic jams that occur on the southbound Brenner and/or Tauern routes, and where necessary to recommend an alternative route. This system is based on a Brenner/Tauern traffic management plan that was agreed between Bavaria, Austria and Italy and introduced on 2 July 2010 (Az. OBB/IID4-43642).
